Morning Musume ’16 62nd single

flaggb I finaaaaaaaally got my hands on my copy of Morning Musume ’16‘s 62nd single, Sexy cat no enzetsu / Mukidashi de mukiatte / Sou ja nai. We can say I’m very pleased! :3

First, the cover: it’s a bit boring (too many white covers lately…), but this was the best out of the three regular versions, imo. I like its style, tho and love my favourite cat girls in the center. :3 As for the trading card, I couldn’t be happier! ♥ I decided to collect all my favourite girls’ Sexy cat version trading cards, but I couldn’t even dreamt of getting Fukuchan first! I’m sooooo luckyyyyy~~~ (And a happy little wota! :D) About the postcard: it’s simple, but I kinda like it. Maybe it’s the best of the choices they had for different shops. I’m just sad they stopped giving posters as a bonus. 😦 Let’s move to the songs and MVs:

Sexy cat no enzetsu: To be honest, I didn’t like the song first. I even kinda cringed because of the cat moves in the MV. Then something happened and I came to LOVE it! Its MV is in my top 3 most watched Momusu MVs! I like how the three cat girls make a mess and involve the other girls in making a bigger mess! xD (But I dislike Miki’s hair sooo much! ToT She’s a beautiful girl, why give her always that unflattering side ponytail? T-T (I don’t like this hairstlye on anyone.)) The lyrics are also motivated me lately! 🙂 The highlight besides of the cat girls goes to Ayumi and Eripon, they’re both stunning in this video!
Mukidashi de mukiatte: This is my favourite song from this release, and my favourite MM’16 song next to Utakata Saturday Night! It’s just pure awesomeness to me, I like the simple, but well-edited MV (embed below), the dance, the outfits, Miki getting a massive solo line, etc. I’ll probably listen to it even years from now.
Sou ja nai: This is my least favourite from this single. At first, I didn’t like it AT ALL. Not even listened to it (only a few times), until I got my CD the other day and played it in my CD player. I think I won’t ever understand the hype over this song, but I certainly start to like it. Maybe I’ll listen to it more from now on. As for the MV: I like the girls’ outfits and hairstyle. The usual plain white dresses, but at least they look gorgeous in them. I don’t like the loooong opening scene (simply because I find it too long), and don’t really get the concept, but oh well. It’s catchy and the lyrics may be inspirational to teenage girls. I think it would have hit me when I was in those ages, but maybe I’m too old for it now. xD

Best of 2016 Vol.3

And here are my top 10 favourite Hello! Project songs this year. Also, I wanted to include every group at least once. I may differ from my list posted on H!O, because things changed a bit since I wrote that one. (Click on the pictures for the MVs.)

10. Tsubaki Factory: Kedakaku Sakihokore!
I liked this Tsubaki song the best. I also love their outfits in the MV, they are beautiful! *-*

9. ANGERME: Tsugitsugi zokuzoku (changed from Ai no tame)
It’s one of Meimei’s graduation songs and I loved it very much. Also like the solo parts of Meimei and Ayacho. And the MV is sooo cool! *-*

8. Buono!: Rock no Seichi
I think, this will be the last Buono! release ever. Sorashido ~Nee nee~ is a nice song and all, but Rock no Seichi is awesomeness. It has that ultimate Buono! vibe, plus I love the fact that it’s the answer song of Rock no kamisama. So many feels… :’)

7. Kobushi Factory: Sakura Night Fever
Kobushi had nice songs this year, but none surpassed Sakura Night Fever. It’s a great song, with lovely lyrics and such a beautiful MV! (I know it’s a cover song but still.) Kobushi pulled off this one well!

6. NEXT YOU (Juice=Juice): Otona no jijou
This song is so underrated! I liked J=J’s dorama and this song matches with it so perfectly!

5. °C-ute: Mugen Climax (could also be Jinsei wa STEP!, both are awesome)
This song is out of ordinary, the MV has this cool kinda vampire vibe, and the girls look stunning! I love how the members’ names are hidden in the lyrics!

4. Juice=Juice: Dream Road ~Kokoro ga Odoridashiteru~
This song has that summery feeling I love really much and it was on loop since the SHORT radio rip came out! The MV is kinda so-so to me, because I love the flower petals scenes, but the dance is weird and they could have chosen a better background, I think. Still a great song!

3. Morning Musume ’16: Mukidashi de mukiatte
Mukidashi is so awesomeeeeeeee! The MV is simple but great and cool and omg, it’s the best! I’ll write more of this single when my CD FINALLY arrives. I love everything about this song!

2. Morning Musume ’16: Utakata Saturday Night!
This is the best Momusu song in a while! It’s fun, it’s happy and funky and I can listen to it pretty much anytime! I think my boyfriend got sick of it, I listened to this song sooo many times! 😀

1. Country Girls: Boogie Woogie LOVE
THIS IS MY JAM. I was listening to it nonstop, when the radio rip came out, and my love for it didn’t change. This is seriously the best.

Best of 2016 Vol.1

flaggb There’s an annual poll on H!O to find out who is and what song was the most popular that year. I thought I’ll share my top 10 of the year! Let’s begin! (Note: It went for points, so this list may differ from my actual top favourites list. Also considered giving higher points to my graduated favourite members, since I can’t vote for them next year.)

Top 10 idol of 2016

10. Tsugunaga Momoko (Country Girls)
In my eyes, Momochi (along with Sayu, though she’s not one of my favourites) is the most professional idol ever. She knows exactly what she’s doing, did a great job “raising” Country Girls and is a very good performer. I love her and I’ll miss her so much after she graduates. ;__;

9. Kudou Haruka (Morning Musume ’16)
Duu is awesomeness, hands down. I’ve been fangirling over her more and more recently. She’s cool and cute at the same time and I love her confidence!

8. Kanazawa Tomoko (Juice=Juice)
She’s my favourite Juice=Juice member, and she’s been through much, fighting a lot with her illness this year. Her speech at the end of their Budoukan concert made me to include her on this list. She’s definitely a highlight of this year and deserves love. :3 Not to mention, she’s awesome. :3

7. Murota Mizuki (ANGERME)
Murotan is an energy bomb and I love it! 😀 She’s also amused me several times this year! I love how she flirts with the camera and has those delicate, feminine movements in dancing. (My favourite is this.)

6. Kamikokuryo Moe (ANGERME)
Kamiko debuted this year, and I didn’t fall for her immediately (I only thought she’s cute), but seeing her skills and how well she fit in the group as time flew, I couldn’t help but become to love her. I also loved her story that she couldn’t like Momusu after failing their audition, but then ANGERME came and she fell in love with them. That’s just so adorable!

5. Nonaka Miki (Morning Musume ’16)
Miki is my favourite 12ki, and she’s so cute and talented! (I loved her in Emotion in motion’s Aishite aishite ato ippun! *-*) She seems to be a semi-back girl now, but I’m rooting for her so much, she deserves more love!

4. Tamura Meimi (ANGERME, graduated)
Meimei was my 2nd favourite ANGERME member. She had a wonderful graduation concert and is heading to her dreams. I’ve written much of her in her graduation post, so I’ll make it short here. She’s definitely one of my favourite 2016 idols, since this was her last active year. I also could order her graduation memorial photobook of her! Yay~

3. Inaba Manaka (Country Girls, graduated)
Manakan’s graduation was so sudden! ;__; I’m really sad she had to leave, because I loved watching her enthusiastic performance. She truly loved being an idol and I really miss her. She also had a graduation post here. Hunting her Greeting photobook for now. ;_;

2. Fukumura Mizuki (Morning Musume ’16)
She’s my all-time-favourite kamioshi. I must include her on lists like this. She’s the best.♥

1. Yamaki Risa (Country Girls)
The reason Risachan is above Fukuchan on this list, because 2016 definitely was the year when she became my 2nd kamioshi. She’s beautiful, talented and fun! Watch out of her! :3

Suzuki Kanon graduation

flaggb I don’t think I could call myself a fan if I don’t write about a graduation happening in my favourite group. Yes (actually: NOOOOO~~~ T_T), the graduations continue with Suzuki Kanon‘s, who’s leaving Morning Musume ’16.

I begin this post also with a video, showing Zukki’s singles she participated in. Part 1:

Part 2:

Unlike Meimi’s case, I don’t have any physical collection items of Zukki, but I do have a small Hello! Pro Tap Live card collection of her as well. My favourite is the kimono one, but the Oh my wish! version is also really nice. ^^

Kanon graduation

I won’t be able to watch the concert live, since I won’t be home. (Also, it’s uncertain if there would be any stream.) If I could catch any info, videos and so on, I’ll post my feelings here. I’m sure I’ll be crying. I always cry when a graduation gets emotional. ^^”
Update: I really wasn’t home, so I could only see short clips on Twitter and a bunch of pictures so far. And I was sobbing. Zukki was like a little princess in her graduation dress. She was beautiful! :’) I hope I can watch this concert as soon as possible…

To be honest, I’ve never called Zukki my favourite member. But I like her really much. She was a part of my precious 9ki members, who caught my attention. They were the reason I started following Morning Musume, they were the first generation I witnessed joining. And though only one of them made it to my favourite members, the four girls are all very special to me. Zukki was outstanding from the very start. She had that lovely personality, she was funny and she was always smiling. She didn’t care about her body type, instead of it, she made it the part of her character – and I think she gave many idol fangirls a kind of inspiration. She proved that a chubby girl can also be a fantastic idol. She was really hardworking and she never forgot to smile. I think, this is the most powerful aspect of her and I’m happy she chose a dream job where she can help people with her bright smile. Recently, I was reading interviews and it became clear, that she and Riho were very close. Zukki said that Riho made an impact on her, so started thinking about her future and that’s why she decided to graduate. I think their friendship is so nice. I hope Zukki will find herself in the field she has chosen (social welfare). I respect her for it very much, because this is not an easy job to do. Be happy, and keep your smile, Zukki! 🙂

Morning Musume ’16 61st single

flaggb Morning Musume ’16’s latest single was also a preorder for me. They arrived on the same day, as ANGERME’s 21st, to be exact, 2 hours before. XD The postman was holding a huge, long box. Wth, are they sending together my CDs? No way, they were separate orders. I comfirmed when seeing the bill that it was only the Momusu one. Opened it, found the CD and the poster tube. Why is it so huge? Maybe they rolled up on its longer side? Anyways, let’s see who I got in the trading card! As you can see, I got the group picture. I was a liiitle bit disappointed, since I like getting solo cards better, but this way I got all the girls and they’re smiling in the picture, unlike in their solo ones. And at least I got everyone…! Wait… 1, 2, 3,…11???! WHERE IS ZUKKI?????!!!!!! WTF H!P/UFA/whoever is responsible for this?! Who thought it’s a good idea to NOT INCLUDE THE GRADUATING GIRL in the group picture? And she’s in the other two group versions, why they left out her from this one? Does anybody have a good reason for it?! Please, tell me… -.- (Despite of this huge fail, the card is very nice, the girls all look so pretty in it! ^^) I’ve already written of the “struggles” (#firstworldproblem) of choosing the cover here, so I won’t speak about it now. Just a thing, that I like it in person as well, and the disco-touch on the seemingly white background was a nice thing to do. ^^ Let’s move on to the poster! I thought I’ll get the usual “other stores” A3-size poster, as advertised earlier on the official H!P site. This one:
But oh my god, when I started rolling the poster out…

Can you see the CD next to it??! I mean it’s HUGE! And AWESOME! *0* I’m soooooooooo happy I got this one instead of the other one! That was also nice, but again! In the A3 one, the girls are serious (trying to be cool) and Fukuchan has kinda derp face, but this is such a happy song! And all of them are smiling in this picture! I don’t even care that they just threw their profile pictures together, since it came out so-so-so well! I asked my bofriend, who he finds the prettiest (since they’re all so cute here), and he picked Harunan, Fukuchan and Ayumi! Well, I was happy. 😀 (And I even told him he doesn’t have to say Fukuchan, since he knows how a huge fan I am. XD) I didn’t have an idea, where to put this enormous poster, but finally I found a place for it on my wardrobe’s door.

Let’s move to the songs and the PVs:
Utakata Saturday Night!: This was the last song we were introduced, but no wonder they were hiding it for such a long time, because it’s so great! It’s hands down the best song of this release. So catchy, so upbeat, so happy and so Zukki! I love how they paid special attention to her in the song (her solos and monologue) and also in the PV. Speaking of it: I love DJ Zukki, I love the countdown (and those who think 48 isn’t shown because of AKB: maybe, but 48 does flash up for a short time, so… well, who knows…), I love the “EEEEH?!” of the 12ki, the backwards running Harunan at the beginning, the never-ending background solo shots, the dance… Pretty much everything. Definitely check it out, you’ll love it!
The Vision: This song was very meh for me at the beginning. I think it’s not good that Fukuchan doesn’t sing in a song that fits her voice so much (not being butthurt, she gets a fair amount of solos anyways), but this is how they made it. Recently, the song is starting to grow on me, and I also found out that this is for the 12ki. Except for the chorus parts, where Sakura and Maachan sing the solos, the 12ki are the only ones to get lines. I like how they could feel that this is their song. 🙂 The PV has a really nice feel to it. The elegant surroundings fit the song well and the dance, especially the dance team (Fukuchan, Eripon, Ayumi) choreography is beautiful! Not their best PV ever, but it’s nice.
Tokyo to iu katasumi: This is your usual current Momusu song. If I’d have to say like or dislike, I’d definitely say like, it’s just that this is not my favourite MM song ever. Still, I like to listen to it, my favourite parts are probably Mizuki and Ayumi’s “crazy beat” in the background. ^^ The PV wasn’t so fascinating when seeing the preview. But in the full version, they have those fast-changing shots of the girls singing and dancing, and I think that’s pretty cool and fits the song well. Nice addition to the othervise plain PV. You should check for yourself, anyways.
